Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust is pleased to offer a visiting student electives programme to international undergraduate medical students and those from other UK Medical Schools who have completed a minuimum of 3 years of a medical degree programme.

Please be informed that in order to apply for the medical elective programme, you must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (i.e. received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine). The second Covid-19 vaccination must be at least two weeks prior to the start of your medical elective.

Foundation year one and two year doctors are welcome to spend a week on the medical elective timetable to observe Ophthalmology sub specialties, for more details please email Moorfields.Electives@nhs.net

Please note that medical electives fee must be paid in advance and is non-refundable. Your elective period can only be confirmed upon receipt of the £200 fee and all documents signed.
