Elective at St Georges

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust is pleased to offer international and UK undergraduate medical students  who have completed a minimum of three years of a medical degree programme an opportunity to appy to undertake an Ophthalmology medical elective placement at our outreach St Georges Hospital, Tooting.

Electives at St George's run most weeks throughout the year with a four week break in August and a two week break at Christmas. A maximum of two  students can be accepted per week, depending on availablity. A total of a four week stay is permitted.

Please note the medical elective fee of £200 must be paid alongside the return of signed documents is required before your place can be confirmed. Under no circumstances can a student attend the hospital clinics, theatres & all other clinical spaces until accepted onto the medical elective programme.
