TED series

National meeting series on thyroid eye disease

The Adnexal Team at Moorfields Eye Hospital are pleased to present TED series, an ongoing series of FREE, evening hybrid meetings covering key aspects of thyroid eye disease.

The aim of the meetings is to share experiences, debate topics of controversy, and learn from experts in the field in thyroid eye disease.

Next meeting - Tuesday 8 July. TED - Motility and quality of life

Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) can cause motility problems, meaning the eyes may not move properly or may experience double vision (diplopia). This is because the disease can cause inflammation and swelling of the extraocular muscles, which control eye movement. About 15% of TED patients experience symptomatic ocular motility disturbances.
