NHS Trusts are under increased pressure with Post-Covid waiting lists to increase activity without compromising patient safety and experience. This course aims to share best clinical practice and experience, with emphasis on the Pre-assessment model, including non-complex and complex cases, to support other Trusts/Units to streamline their surgical patient pathway and improve the ophthalmic patient experience.
The course will cover the patient pathway from the time they are listed in clinic for surgery through to Pre-assessment and on to the day of surgery until discharge. The course will describe Moorfields' experience of streamlining the ophthalmic peri-operative pathway and our learning from successes and failures.
