Viral keratitis: From science to therapy

Moorfields Cornea Focus 2022 is a free-to-attend, non-promotional meeting funded by Santen and organised by Mr Sajjad Ahmad, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Hospital.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday 8 June 2022 at the British Museum, London, UK. This will be a hybrid event that you can join in person at the British Museum or virtually via live stream.

Aim

The aim of this meeting is to provide an update on viral diseases of the cornea, including the clinical presentation, investigations and management of the diseases.

Learning objectives
  • Understand the clinical presentations of Adenovirus, Cytomegalovirus, Herpes simplex and Varicella zoster viruses on the cornea.
  • Identify key investigations for viral diseases of the cornea.
  • Gain knowledge of the therapeutic approaches used to manage viral keratitis.
  • Understand the key clinical trials for viral keratitis include the Herpes Eye Disease studies and the Zoster Highlight the considerations and implications of corneal grafting in viral keratitis.
  • Highlight the considerations and implications of corneal grafting in viral keratitis.
