Medical retina pathways consent course
This unique MR Pathways consent course is specially designed for nurses, optometrists, doctors and others healthcare professional groups working in medical retina subspeciality in ophthalmology.
The MR Pathway consent course enables the multi professional groups to embed the core principles of valid informed consent into their daily practice. Additionally, it will also provide a foundation upon which to build competence in the valid informed process in MR pathways.
The course will cover the ethical and legislative frameworks that underpin clinical practice consent process, along with the principles and responsibilities of consent, best practice, and insight into mental capacity for vulnerable groups.
The day will take the form of a combination of presentations, discussions, role plays and group activities designed to bring the principles of valid informed consent into the workplace. A handbook on informed consent with case studies will be provided.
