This course aims to provide participants surgical skills in DALK and DMEK which are the most advanced techniques of modern corneal surgery. The learning curve for both procedures is steep and there are very few centres internationally that provide similar wet labs using human donor corneas which allow surgeons to experiment with such techniques before starting operating on patients . Moorfields Eye Hospital and its array of expert consultants are at the cutting edge of these surgeries and are at a perfect vantage point in leading and conducting such educational programmes. This will be an inaugural course run by Moorfields using live human tissues and latest techniques.
